Hello! My name is Julia Bergman and I am so excited and honored to be joining the Junior Board of Directors. Originally from Georgia, I am currently living in New Orleans as I am a senior at Tulane University studying Psychology and Theater. In my free time, I am a certified peer health educator and am the events coordinator for my campus peer health education program, love to bake, and am part of Alpha Phi Omega service Fraternity and Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. I have previously volunteered at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Children’s Hospital New Orleans. When I volunteered at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, I especially loved working with pediatric oncology patients and families and that experience really sparked my interest in learning more about pediatric cancer research and pursuing pediatric healthcare. While not sure exactly what I want to do after college, I am currently deciding between pursuing psychology further so I can offer psychosocial support to pediatric cancer patients or becoming a child life specialist. I can’t wait to explore research, advocacy work, social media, and help support the families Max Cure serves!

My name is Amanda Bartolini. I am from Scottsdale, Arizona and am currently a senior at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. I’m studying biology and psychology and hope to one day become a pediatric ER doctor or oncologist. When I’m not studying for the MCAT, I can be found hanging out with my friends around New Orleans or scribing at a local hospital. This is my first year working with the Max Cure Foundation and I am very excited for the opportunity to try to make a difference in the lives of those affected by pediatric cancer. Through the Max Cure Foundation’s Junior Board of Directors, I am on the research committee and the family support committee and cannot wait to start working with my fellow board members as well as the families and children Max Cure works with and supports!
